The oil painting on canvas depicts a village scene in Europe with manor home, mountains at sunset in the background, tranquil lake setting, and a tower with actual working clock. Along the pathway leading to the home are carriage with a horse, dancing and standing villagers and a dog. The painting, the clock and the music box are enclosed within a shadowbox with an ornate giltwood frame., circa 1860.
