About the Item
Antique 19th-century Italian painting. Oil on canvas artwork depicting a man in a tavern with a dog, well-crafted. A finely sized and attractively decorated painting, signed lower right (see photo), attributed to the painter Federico Alessandro Ciappa (1766-1826). Authentication is missing. This vertically arranged painting is enriched with numerous details (see photo). It is suitable for antique dealers and collectors.
The painting was covered with glass for several years (now missing), and therefore features very vibrant and vivid colors. The artwork comes complete with a non-contemporary 20th-century carved and gilded frame in good condition. The painting has undergone conservative restoration and relining. Overall, it is in good condition. Internal dimensions: H 96.5 x W 70.5 cm.
