This antique 19th-century oil portrait is attributed to Danish artist Hans Hansen (1769–1828), celebrated for his refined depictions of European aristocrats. Hansen also portrayed members of the Mozart family and was the father of Golden Age painter Constantin Hansen. The work presents a distinguished gentleman with long hair, dressed in a dark jacket with silver buttons, painted with Hansen’s characteristic precision and depth.
