About the Item
A striking early 19th century Russian icon, richly gilded depicting Jesus in the clouds above Saints Gregory, Vasili, and Ivan. The icon is all gold gilt and then it is painted over the gold gilt and is on a very thick wooden board. The original Russian inscriptions remain on the plaque, adding to its authenticity and reverence. Set in an ornate gold gilt Rococo style frame. Icon dimensions: 11.5" wide × 13.5" tall. A rare and powerful piece.
