About the Item

Perrachon specialized in the flora genre and other still-life compositions. He is best known today for his floral still-lifes, especially roses, which are part of major museum collections throughout Europe. Perrachon exhibited regularly in Paris and Lyon and was presented with several awards at the Paris Salons of 1859-1863.
