Dominican native Antonio Carreño (b.1963) spent 6 years at the National School of FIne Arts in Santo Domingo before moving to the United States and studying at the prestigious Art Students League in NYC. Although his work is abstract his imagery alludes to his love of nature. Even its title, 'De Tierra Somos (We Are Made of Earth)', reflects his deep connection to the natural world.
