John Taylor was originally trained as a theater and film designer at Central St. Martins School of Art in London. He has been painting professionally for over twenty years and shows regularly in London galleries and art fairs. His work is held in private collections worldwide. He lives and works in South East London.
John takes his inspiration from the St. Ives School of Art but adds his own personal geometric simplicity and clarity. His abstract paintings are acrylic or oils often with added painted card shapes.
His acrylic collages emphasize his passion for using shape, color and form to create drama.
