This vibrant oil painting from 1980 captures a serene Alpine spring landscape. Several rustic mountain huts stand in the foreground, their dark wood contrasting with the sunlit hillside. Blossoming fruit trees, likely cherry or apple, line a winding path that guides the viewer's eye into the scene. A wooden fence enhances the rural charm. Alexander Michael (1939-2024) was a German landscape, still life and architectural painter. His paintings can be stylistically assigned to Impressionism or a late Impressionist style. His loose painting style, applied with a sure hand, creates a lively and atmospheric effect with visible brushstrokes and bright colors. The light conditions, color tones and the artist's subjective perception are characteristic of his works.
