An important oil on canvas painting titled "Monociclo" by Mexican artist Alfonso Mena. The picture is signed on the lower right corner MENA. The canvas is signed and titled on the back. The painting features a monocycle, the vehicle used for sports and amusement.
Alfonso Mena Pacheco was born in Mexico City in 1961. He studied at the Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado "La Esmeralda". He has held positions as professor of plastic arts at the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas (ENAP). He has been part of more than 90 exhibitions, biennials and shows. His individual show "Alfonso Mena, pintura" was held in the Palace of Fine Arts in 1997; a second important individual show, "Seducción", was held in the Museum of Modern Art in 2013. His work is part of important museums and collections in Mexico.
