Large fixed under glass painting, allegorical representation of Africa by the portrait of a black woman, richly adorned with jewels and a turban on her head. Frame (perhaps Naples) in gilded wood in the mecca style (this Italian technique consists of applying a golden varnish on a support covered with silver leaves, less expensive than gold leaf; the effect is a warm and luminous gold) Some wear from use, the glass is not broken 1rst Part of the 19th century Dimensions with frame: Height 64cm Width 47.5cm
