About the Item

Antique Portrait Painting of Boy and Dog Signed "A. Stoff 1878," Alois Stoff, 19th Century (1846- c. 1922) Austrian painter. A pupil of Karl Mayer (1810-1876) at the Academy of Fine Art in Vienna, Stoff was very active in Vienna and Krems and traveled extensively throughout Europe and Egypt. His work was largely portraits, landscape paintings and church art.
