This charming antique oil painting depicts Archangel Michael, the heavenly warrior and defender of the faithful, standing above a trio of putti.
Well executed, the work likely dates from the late 1700s to early 1800s, and is most probably Italian or Spanish School.
Michael is shown in traditional iconography, with angelic wings and flowing garments, carrying a standard on a ceremonial staff — emphasising themes of divine justice, protection, and spiritual victory. The painting captures a deep sense of movement and moral gravity, characteristic of late Baroque or early Romantic religious art.
