About the Item

This antique hand painted porcelain panel is unsigned but was done in Italy in circa 1890 in the Roccoco style. The hand painted porcelain disc of La Madonna della Sedia, after Rafael Sanzio. The hand painted plaque depicts a seated Madonna with a child and next to a child Saint John the Baptist. This antique porcelain panel is accented by a very ornately hand carved wooden frame with a gilt finish. The panel has the impressed marks "150" on the reverse, and the stamp for Florence Italy. The posted dimensions refer to the entire piece including the frame.
