Splendid oil painting "Still Life" executed in the early 1900s.The manner in which this still life was executed shows a pictorial conception devoted to a total realism that takes into account every detail and presents the surfaces sharp and compact ,exposed to the effects of light.There is a valuable care and a considerable technical effort in correctly representing the volumetries of the subjects ,their texture and their matter.For these reasons the artist cares little for pictorial effects (relegated only to the background in shadow) and presents a completely objective work that presents the subjects clearly and overtly.The author of this still life interprets his subjects with a strongly realistic style,the draping of the tablecloth is executed in a masterly manner,the transparency of the glass pitcher is rendered sublimely,as is the fruit in the foreground.
The painting was reinteled during restoration and placed within a stunning Louis Philippe-era gold-leaf frame.
