About the Item

This is a pair of original oil on canvas paintings from Denmark painted by renowned artist William Henriksen (1880-1964). William Henriksen was an apprentice of famous painter H.O. Brasen and represented in Rønne, Bornholm and at Kronborg Museum. The two paintings represents summer and winter season. The titles are “Vintersol, Raageleje”(Winter Sun, Raageleje) and “Vejen til Thuehuset, Raageleje”(The road to Thuehuset, Raageleje). Raageleje is an area in Northern Sealand. They are framed in solid gold painted woden frames. Signs of age: Cracks and a few spots of missing paint. Unevenness on canvas and patination on frames. Please see the photos.
