This is a beautiful antique watercolour study by Ettore Ascenzi of the Spanish Steps, Rome , circa 1890 in date and signed.
The colours are incredibly vibrant for its age and the painting is in it's beautiful original giltwood frame.

Ettore Ascenzi
was an artist active in Rome between 1870 and 1908. In the 1870s he entered the prestigious Accademia di San Luca in Rome. His works were primarily on Historical subjects and Roman Views.
