Attributed to August Stephan Sedlacek (Austrian/German, 1868-1936) "The Violin Presentation" Oil on Canvas depicting an interior 18th century scene of a young prince being presented his newly crafted violin by the luthier crafter at his workshop, surrounded by his parents, teacher and joyful elders, within a gilt wood and gesso frame. Signed: 'A. Stephan (lower right). Circa: 1900
