California oil on canvas landscape painting, "Evening Glow" - Otto Robert Gaensslen (1876-1915; American)
Late 19th-early 20th century.
Artist Bio: (see attached photo)
" Gaensslen was born in Chicago. When he was very young he traveled to France where he studied with Carl Marr and Lauren. He established himself in Paris where he exhibited in the Salon of French Artists for a few years winning some prizes. He returned to the United States where he traveled and painted until his death in 1915, at the early age of 39. This painting is inscribed on the reverse.
