About the Item
Paul Russotto (American, 1941-2014) developed his artistic perspective in NYC during the post-WWII period of abstract expressionist painting which came to be known as the New York School. In this painting, using his knowledge of the technique and subject matter of Paul Cezanne as a starting point, Russotto has reinterpreted the Post-Impressionist's late 19th century still lifes through his mid-20th century point of view.
