Although signed but not named, we like to call this work "Character on a wheel".
This fantasy character sitting on a chair with a wheel driving by the wind, like the flying birds are.
Next to this character, we see figures in the middle that could be derived from a Totem pole.
Dutch artist Herman Shoemaker is inspired by the Pattern and Decoration movement, Native Indian American art, and the work of French artists Viallat and Gauthier.
The artist has been creating his work on metal sheets for a long time.
