Decorative painting representing a black and white cat on a red marble trompe l'oeil commode, stepping around a deep blue and gold vase containing a bouquet of gladioli, against a floral wall-papered background. Visible in the reflection in the mirror is a framed painting of a bridge and what appears to be the Conciergerie in Paris. Charming scene.
Signed Luzzi Fausto, and dated 1958. On the back, the painting is titled "Chat et Glaïeuls".
Newly restored and put on a châssis.
