About the Item
An acrylic on canvas painting by Mexican artist Cisco Jiménez. The picture depicts a Prehispanic style pyramid surrounded by mountains. The pyramid is "cut" to expose an interior record player that says "TIKAL" in the disc's portrait. The painting is signed on the middle right and dated 2013 in the middle left.
Board's dimensions: 65 x 71 cm.
Frame's dimensions: 71 x 77.5 x 5 cm.
Cisco Jiménez is a Mexican artist from Cuernavaca. An industrial designer by trade, Cisco is known as an outsider that has an ironic vision of marginality. His wit and sense of humor, along with the colorful palette, cultural references and artistic techniques allow him to express a critical vision of politics and social disadvantages in Mexico, always aspiring to become a universal vision of reality.
