Darryl Hughto, (American, b.1943) had his first one man show at the prestigious Tibor de Nagy gallery in NYC in 1971. Vibrant color and energetic brushwork characterize Hughto's paintings and this 1976 work titled 'Nightingale' is no exception. His work is held in the permanent collections of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum New York, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Boston and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York among others.
This work was part of the AT&T corporate art collection.
