Two Davis Meltzer (Pennsylvania illustrator/artist, 1930-2017) illustration art drawings, gouache on boards, commissioned by Slazengers Inc. for the cover of their catalog, framed version is signed bottom center Davis Meltzer, unframed version is not signed, 10" (h) x 7 3/4" and 10 1/2" (h) x 6" illustration sizes, 11 3/4" x 10" and 13 1/2" x 18" mat board sizes, 14 1/2" (h) x 16" frame size, comes with a copy of the Slazenger catalog, PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Davis Meltzer About Slazenger: Slazenger is a British sports equipment brand that was founded in 1881 by brothers Ralph and Albert Slazenger. The brand is known for its tennis balls, which have been the official supplier for Wimbledon since 1902. Slazenger has also produced equipment and apparel for other sports, including golf, cricket, and hockey.
