About the Item
Early 20th Century abstract mixed media composition on paper dated 1918 and signed "Futurista". This colourful artwork is typical for the Futuristic art movement that started in Italy in the early 20th Century. This was a new artistic powerful art style that strove and glorified modern technology such cars and aircraft, fastness and power, colors and modern sounds. Many artists of that period signed unluckily "Futurista" because the movement was more important for them than their own person ad name, so this artist remain still unknown to us after more than a hundred years.
The size of this rare watercolor or gouache and pencil shaped artwork is 19 x 14 cm and with the later frame is 32 x 27 cm.
