What did come first? The Chicken or the Egg? This vertical canvas draws the eye of the viewer from the large cracked egg in the foreground through several dimensional doorways to a background of a white chicken atop a roofline.

The artist "professionally known as Vignoli, was a Brazilian painter and sculptor. He began his career in 1982 creating canvases in oil on canvas, where he applies his own technique, which, according to him, allows a perfect balance in the distribution of the elements, leading the viewer to come across texture, plasticity and creation, in perfect Harmony within the history of each painting. The style of Vignoli is a fusion between Surrealism and Expressionism, hence the declared influence by the Spanish master Salvador Dalí. By 2013, Vignoli work had been exhibited in more than 20 nations."

A quite amazing Soviet era painting from the Leningrad school by Evgeny Mikhailovich Zhavoronkov. It is dated 1989 and titled "Rooster" on the back of the linen canvas. Signed E.M. Zhavonronkov on the back. Also marked Group of 7 +1, Leningrad. It is signed on the front along the bottom. That's about all I was able to translate with a translator. a stunning painting as there is so much going on in each area. There is a paper label as well, which is a bit faded.
