About the Item
Original oil on board painting; 9" x 12", frame 18" x 15". Painting portrays a Native American teepee camp scene at base of small pond or stream. Squaw is outside cooking over fire. Colors and lighting are muted, with primarily green and teal tones. Frame is gold with carved details.
(1937-) Hartwig has won many awards, including the Triton Museum Competition. His paintings have sold at auction - Butterfields, Christie's and Phillips of London. He's professionally listed in art references, including Davenports, Leonard's and Who's Who in American Art.
