About the Item
Flowers artwork, oil painting on canvas, floral vase painting which represents yellow Daiseis,
placed in two vases. In the background were painted the so-called "Pope's Medallions", that is the Lunaria which when dry takes on a very elegant silver color. It also has a original gold leaf frame realised in the 1800s.
The oil on canvas painting dates back to the late nineteenth Century and Early 20th Century, Art Nouveau.
This floral oil painting is signed by J. Stappers. He essentially painted flowers and still lifes with remarkable results.
Stappers Julien was born in Belgium, in 1875 and he died in 1960.
The painting and the frame have been cleaned.
