About the Item
Beautiful 17th century oil on a cradled panel, Flemish School. A village feast near a lake. Condition improved and a join in the center of the panel has been reinforced. Notes on the back:
"rest. Jan 1966 Saint Paulus Abbey of Oosterhout" and the initials "A.T."
The monks of the beautiful Notre Dame Abbey of Wisque, France, moved to Oosterhout in 1901 and it is likely the painting traveled with them.
