A pair of antique frames (blackened limewood) , from the late 19th century, featuring a set of 12 color illustrations of French women's fashion from 1819 to 1830. A first frame under glass with 6 illustrations of the history of women's costume from 1819 to 1824, under the monarchy of King Louis XVIII (France). A second frame under glass with 6 illustrations of the history of women's costume from 1825 to 1830, under the reign of Charles X (France). --- The illustrations are taken from a book entitled "Un siècle de mode féminine 1794 - 1894". 1896 book, women's toilettes reproduced in color from authentic documents. Published by G. Charpentier and E. Pasquelle Paris. Printer: E. Charaire et Cie Paris (Mr Mulot, Chromist - Mr Sartor, Driver) --- Dimensions : 2 antique frames each with 6 illustrations under glass. - Frame "1" (1819 to 1824) : 52.5 x 55.5 cm / 20.66 x 21.85 in. - Frame "2" (1825 to 1830) : 52.5 x 55.5 cm / 20.66 x 21.85 in. - 12 Illustrations : 18.5 x 12 cm / 7.28 in. x 4.72 in.
