About the Item

A French framed oil on canvas still-life painting from the 19th century depicting fruits. Born in France during the 19th century, this exquisite still-life painting depicts an abundance of mouth-watering fruits presented in a wicker basket and a plate, casually displayed on the top of a table or a credenza. The neutral color of the background allows the orange, black, yellow, purple, red and green tones of the fruits to stand out beautifully. We are left to admire the grapes, pears, prunes and peaches, accented by the delicate presence of flowers and a butterfly. This French oil on canvas still-life 19th century painting, set inside an elegant carved frame, will enliven any wall beautifully, perhaps hung above a commode, credenza or console table.
