Purchased from a chateau in the South of France, this large landscape painting of a hunter walking outside of a hillside village is over 10 feet tall and seven feet wide. The canvas is signed and dated in the lower right-hand corner, indicating that the artist completed the massive painting in 1962. Based on the apparel of the hunter and the condition of the surrounding vegetation, it appears to be an early autumn day.
