French School, 19TH CENTURY, Oil on Canvas - SPANISH GALLEONS AT ANCHOR IN A BAY Canvas size 65 x 40cms. Framed size 77 x 54cms. This painting depicts a dramatic scene of Galleons from the Spanish 17th Century. The ships are shown at anchor, with others lost in the mist, evoking the atmosphere of naval exploration and trade during the Golden Age of Spain.
