About the Item
This oil on canvas by George Thompson Pritchard is called "City Gates, Morocco" and features a Moroccan scene of figures and a camel rider passing through a city gate archway. This piece is signed by the artist in the lower left corner. Pritchard was born in New Zeeland in 1878and studied at Elam, Auckland, Academy of Fine Arts, Melbourne, Academie Julien, Paris, Vanderheld Academy, Amsterdam and with Sir Alfred East in Britain in art and sculpture. He moved to the U.S. later in life and died in California in 1962. Due to the size of this piece, there will be an additional boxing fee.
