About the Item
A postmodern pastel on paper titled "Rosetta Earth I (Diptych)" by Helen Bershad. Signed, titled, and dated 1978 in pencil. An ethereal composition with abstracted warm tones. The colors seem to float on the paper and create a feather effect - like clouds viewed at sunset or sunrise. Known as an Abstractionist, Bershad explores color, lines, shapes and forms as they interact on the canvas. She has exhibited in galleries in New York City, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and other cities in the United States. Her work is in the collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Woodmere Art Museum, and other museums and private collections. From a private collection. Dimensions: 30"h x 22.5"w (unframed). In very good vintage condition.
