About the Item

Henri MILOCH (1898-1979) Maritime Painting, dated 1954. Oil on canvas signed and dated lower right. Canvas size: 32.5 x 41 cm. Frame size: 52 x 60 cm. Henri Miloch was born in Trieste, Italy, in 1898. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and became a member of the Société des artistes français. Miloch's life and artistic activities were primarily anchored in Brittany, a region in northwestern France, where he captured the essence of Breton maritime life through his paintings of various local ports and towns. Much of his work focused on the Concarneau region, where he lived and exhibited extensively throughout his career. In 1959, he expanded his creative space by opening a studio in Tours (Loire Valley).
