Fantastic original painting by listed French artist Henri Plisson.
Original oil on canvas. Dimensions: 30" x 25". The period frame measures 38" x 33".
Very good condition.
French painter and ceramist Henri Plisson was born on September 20, 1908 and died November 9, 2002. He studied at the College of Montmorillon and was admitted to the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts of Paris, studying with Lucien Simon (1861-1945).
He served as Professor of Design at the School of Design ABC in Paris and was nominated as official marine painter in 1973. He also served as Vice-president of the independent artist group.
