The painting, with wonderful and vibrant colors throughout, has two young maidens kneeling to a young soldier. The maidens are wearing classical dresses while the soldier is wearing a helmet and coat over his armor. The three figures are in front or architectural ruins amidst a foliate landscape. The painting is framed within a mottled giltwood frame.
