Antique Orientalist oil on canvas depicting a beautiful concubine in a harem, seated beside an octogonal stand displaying roses in a vase and an ornate silver goblet and jewels, with a copy of the French novel, Les Desenchantees (The Disenchanted), by Pierre Loti, at her feet. Stretcher 25 3/8 by 30 1/8 inches and the frame 32 7/8 by 38 by 3 3/4 inches.
Signed in lower right, dated 1907 and signed Elisina Focardi B..., with nameplate at lower center that reads Odalisca, Elisina Focardi, French School, 1907.

Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Rubbing wear, cracks, scratches and losses to the gesso and giltwood frame.
