Superb traditional oil painting by living Artist Julian Friers RUA, depicting Ducks beside a lake in Saint Stephens Green Park in Dublin City Ireland . Oil on canvas complete with its original exceptional traditional painted wooden frame.
The Artist's majestic brush work captures with consummate finesse the magical colours of this rural scene and his shadow and light work is superb. Signed lower right.

Julian Friers was a wildlife painter born in Bangor, Northern Ireland in 1956. Friers was educated at the Belfast College of Art and then to earn a living, he became a professional wildlife painter. His first solo exhibition was held in 1977. In 2009, Friers was appointed President of the Royal Ulster Academy. Today, we can see his works through collections in Germany, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and the USA. Friers Paintings re very sought after and can achieve very high prices. He is famous for his pintings of Birds especially birds of prey. This is a rare Dublin scene by Friers and I was fortunate to acquire it.
