This English school painting by Julius Caesar Ibbetson (1759-1817) depicts a countryside farm house off of a road with a horse drawn wagon and set in a mountain landscape. It is an original oil painting on canvas, housed in a period frame with a brass name plate. The canvas is relined at an earlier date.
Condition is good with age related wear.
Provenance from the estate of a Wall Street broker’s John’s Island, Florida home.
