A highly decorative and characterful painting by Michel Nizet, painted in 1930 in the typical style of the Liège School. This oil on canvas depicts an atmospheric Ardennes landscape in soft pastel colors, specifically the region around Vielsalm, where we also purchased the canvas. Visible wear and tear and signs of use give the work its authentic charm and character. A beautiful example of early 20th-century Belgian painting and the atmospheric Ardennes landscape.
