In fact, on the back of the painting is written the place portrayed: The summit of the Etret, the torrent of the Vallon des Étages -
"Le pic de l'Etret, le ruisseau du vallon des Étages', which is located in the French Alps.
The work is an oil painting with a carved and lacquered wooden frame, original and coeval to the old painting.
It is a painting on canvas, signed in the bottom left by Deljean, a French painter active in the 20th century.
