Harry Stinton (British, 1882–1968) – Watercolour Landscape with Mill and Figures
A fine early 20th-century English watercolour by Harry Stinton, depicting a tranquil rural mill scene. A pair of children are shown beside a stream, with water flowing over a small weir, framed by autumnal trees and a traditional brick millhouse beyond. The composition is beautifully balanced, capturing the gentle charm of the countryside.
Signed H. Stinton lower right.
Mounted and set behind glass in a gilt frame with card mount. Framer’s label to the reverse: J. Lowe, The Foregate, Worcester, suggesting likely local provenance.
Frame measures: 43 cm x 34.5 cm
Condition: The watercolour is in good condition. A few minor marks to the frame, consistent with age. Ready to hang.
A good example of British rural watercolour painting by a well-regarded member of the Stinton family of artists.
