American School, painting likely done in the mid 20th century and set in a 19th century frame.
This is a very well done nautical painting of a Union Clipper ship and naval ship sailing on rough seas. I am unfortunately unable to attribute an artist however, it is very well done and likely by an accomplished artist.
The 19th century frame gives a beautiful touch to the deep blue ocean and cloudy sky developed in the piece.
Provenance: From a prominent Atlanta, Georgia estate.
