By self-taught Miami-born artist Purvis Young (1943-2010), a very large size painting on scavenged plywood. Purvis Young painted portraits of his neighbors, friends, angels, Christ, musicians . Haloes appear on many, emphasizing his veneration of these figures. Here, some faces are crying assisting at a funeral, this work shows the truth of daily life in Miami, telling stories of people's triumphs and tragedies.
