About the Item

A beautiful painting of modest size, made in oil on canvas and framed in a carved and gilded wooden frame. The painting depicts the portrait of a young woman with her hair gathered and beautiful curls in the front, adorned with a red swoop and white and pink flowers. The young girl is depicted half-length, with part of her low-cut blue and white dress visible, closed in the center by a flower. Her face and gaze are turned to the side, with great attention to detail in the rendering of the red mouth and eyes. The painting is attributed to an anonymous Italian painter active around the mid-19th century. Measurements: H x W x D overall 65 x 59 x 5cm, H x W 46 x 39.5cm
