About the Item
This still life was painted by Frederic Lund Ottesen ( 1913-1975 ) in 1950 and is fully signed in the top right hand corner. Ottesen was an American figurative and abstract painter. The still live was created in his early figurative phase. The still life is executed in oil paint and painted on artists board. The painting is framed in the 19th century frame it came to me. We see a flower arrangement in a white vase with two handles standing on a table covered with a red tablecloth before a light sage green background. The pink and white flowers are combined with expressive foliage.
