Painting with geometric forms with a painted pine frame. Strong colors and patterns. This is a modernist painting from Sweden made in 1956 by S.W. Svensson. In the vibe of Le Corbusier and Malevich.

Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris, dit Le Corbusier, est un architecte, urbaniste, Décorateur, peintre, sculpteur, auteur suisse naturalisé françaisa, né le 6 octobre 1887 à La Chaux-de-Fonds en Suisse et mort le 27 août 1965 à Roquebrune-cap-Martin en France. Il est l'un des principaux représentants du mouvement moderne avec, entre autres, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Walter Gropius, Alvar Aalto et Theo van Doesburg. Il a de même côtoyé Robert Mallet-Stevens.
Il est le père de l'architecture moderne, étant le premier à remplacer les murs porteurs extérieurs par des piliers de béton armé placés à l'intérieur des constructions.
« Là où naît l'ordre, naît le bien-être. » Ses premiers choix en architecture sont ceux qui définissent le purisme : simplicité des formes, organisation, rigueur. Cette vision est mêlée d'utopie, le bonheur étant l'une des clés de ses réflexions sur l'urbanisme. Son « langage » architectural s'applique aussi bien au logement économique qu'à la villa de luxe.
Le Corbusier se révèle l'architecte de la conciliation des contraires. Les dualités art/technique, règle/arbitraire, géométrie/nature, lumière/ombre, continuité/rupture appellent une véritable réponse artistique in loco. On peut aussi inclure l'esprit corbuséen de conciliation aux divers pôles opposés (au sens corbuséen) : nature/architecture, volumes (essences géométriques)/ objets décorum (sculpture ou peinture), vie individuelle/vie collective, compacité du béton/transparence du verre, construire/reconstruire….
