Modernist abstract oil on canvas, a tapestry of flowing ribbons in peacock hues, by noted New York artist Sidney E. Zimmerman, dated 1960. Zimmerman (1926-2007) studied in Berlin during World War II and then at the School of the Brooklyn Museum of Art and at the New York Art Students League under the influential Vaclav Vytlacil. He also spent time painting in Mexico City and Paris. He exhibited in many group and one-man shows.
